Going green is the newest fad to hit the home improvement market. No industry has capitalized on this newest phenomenon like the solar panel industry. However, solar panels are not as simple as people assume and can be very confusing. Many customers have concerns such as, how long does it take to install solar panels? How much will the solar panels cost? How much maintenance is required for each panel? Most solar panel providers are very well versed in their industry and have extensive and prolific knowledge of their products.
Most solar panels installed are what is referred to as PV or Photo Voltaic. This is what solar panel companies prefer to sell to the average buyer. These panels do not require much upkeep and the cost effectiveness is usually reflected in the first five years after the initial investment.
The process of having solar panels installed in your home is not as complicated as first thought. Once you contact the solar panel supplier if they do not offer installation, they usually have a qualified person, they work in tandem with to asses the situation. Initially, they ask the home owner questions such as, How many kilowatts does the household consume a day? How many sq meters/feet is the house? What type of roof?
By asking these and a few more probative questions they can ascertain what the home owner is looking to accomplish. Are they looking to offset their carbon foot print or do they want to be fully off the grid. What the customer is looking to achieve is the main factor in determining length of time for installation. On average for a three bedroom house, wishing to simply off set their carbon foot print, the installation should take no more than five business days.
However, going off the grid may take a little longer.
